Unfair we’re not somewhere misbehaving for days; Great escape, lost track of time and space.
– Arctic Monkeys, “R U Mine”
Originally from south Louisiana, Dena De Clute-Melançon (writing as Dena De Clute) earned her BA in product design with a focus on European sustainability practices. She completed a study abroad program in Paris and eventually moved overseas for nine years.
Returning to the US, Dena accepted a leadership role as Houston Metro Coordinator for the local chapter of FAWCO, a global nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable women and their families.
Inspired by her experiences living in Europe, Latin America, and the Deep South, author Dena De Clute writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels with a Southern Gothic flavor. She also writes a blog called World Geography Wednesday where she teaches her kids about other countries by cooking international food with them.
When she’s not writing, cooking, or taking pictures of her family and travels, Dena spends her time raising two gifted children with her husband. They live in Houston.
